I am immoblized by pie and turkey, but determined to get this message to you! The Mojo Live DVD is out – it’s the concert DVD I’ve been wanting to make for years. The show was filmed live earlier this year at the Grand Annex Theatre with an all-star band, and in addition to the full 14-song concert, there are cool special features you’ll find nowhere else! For Black Friday weekend, #ShopSmall at bobmalone.com and get DVDs, T-shirts and vinyl for only $14.99 each and all CDs for $9.99. That’s 5 bucks off everytyhing! These prices only last til Monday – so get on it!

Here’s the best part: post a photo of yourself with your Mojo Live DVD and the hashtag #showusyourmojo on Facebook, twitter or Instagram (be sure to tag me!), and you get a chance to win a free Bob Malone house concert at your house! Also at the Bob Malone Store, from now thru the end of 2015, I’m donating 100% of the proceeds from digital downloads of the song Paris (from the Mojo Deluxe CD) to the family of Nick Alexander. Alexander was the band merchandise seller who was killed along with scores of others in the terrorist attacks at the Bataclan concert hall in Paris. He was one of us – a brother in rock and roll.

“John Fogerty keyboardist Bob Malone released his eighth album earlier this year. On Mojo Deluxe his all-star band includes Stan Behrens (WAR), Tim Lefebvre (Tedeschi Trucks Band), Mike Baird (Journey, Bob Dylan, Joe Cocker), producer/guitarist Bob DeMarco, and Bob’s John Fogerty bandmate Kenny Aronoff. Coming in October is the Mojo Live DVD, which demonstrates the rich southern soul and deep blues of Malone’s live group which also includes Marty Rifkin (Slide guitar), Bob Demarco (Guitar) Jeff Dean (Bass), Mike Baird (Drums) and Chris Trujillo (Percussion) with vocals from Lavone Seetal, Trysette and Karen Nash, while Malone, himself, appears on Wurlitzer piano, stompbox and vocals. Today we premiere “Certain Distance” from the forthcoming DVD. The song is also the lead track on Mojo Deluxe.”

MOJO DELUXE CD/DVD Pre-Release & Publicity Campaign

Click to view the MOJO DELUXE Promo Teaser Video

My new album is finished. It’s called Mojo Deluxe. A companion live DVD, “Mojo Live,” is just about to be finished. Since 2013, most of my spare time and disposable income have gone towards making these recordings a reality. Now, after 3 years of sweat, tears, happiness, frustration, long hours, bloodletting and neurosis, I want the world to hear the finished product. This is where you can help!

If you’re reading this, I’m guessing you’re a fan. If you’re a fan, you probably want to help spread the word about this music you love. Here’s your chance! I intend to hire a great promotional team and get this done the right way. Reviews in influential publications and blogs, widespread radio play, a primo late-night TV appearance – these are just a few of the things a great publicist and radio promoter can make happen.

You can make this possible simply by pre-ordering the new CD. You’ll get it 3 months before the official release date, autographed and everything! And if you want to contribute more, we have plenty of perks for you! CD and DVD bundles, t-shirts, posters, sheet music, piano lessons, and personal house concerts.

Many of you have been a part of this journey with me for years, and I couldn’t have done it without you – this is our chance to take it to the next level together!

I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead

From "Mojo Deluxe" (2015)

From “Mojo Deluxe” (2015)

I’ve been mostly off the road since December, but does that mean I’ve been resting? No sir. I’ll rest when I’m dead! For starters, I rocked the Kurzweil and QSC Audio stages at the NAMM Show. At Kurzweil, I went on right after Stevie Wonder and got some very sweet teevee news coverage on KTLA. I played with John Fogerty at Levi’s Stadium up in Silicon Valley for 70,000 hockey fans – lots of pyro! I spent 8 straight 8 hour days holed up in the studio producing a new record for excruciatingly funny comedy songstress Carla Ulbrich – even knocked out a killer big band arrangement for this one! Also, after months of stress and planning, we shot a Bob Malone concert video at the lovely Grand Annex theater in San Pedro. More days holed up in the studio mixing audio while across town, 10 cameras-worth of footage is being sifted through. The editing is about to begin! AND – my new record is done: the “Mojo Deluxe” pre-release tour begins next week and runs through the end of April. I’ll have a limited amount of the new CD at the shows and only the shows. The album officially drops on May 19. Also in May, a long stretch of John Fogerty tour dates begins, along with some Bob Malone dates in Europe, more on that soon! See you out there…

John Fogerty Canada Tour – New Stuff!

Mojo EP - Available now!

Mojo EP – Available now!

OK, so it’s been a while! I’m in Canada now, two weeks into the John Fogerty “1969” Tour – this goes through the end of November, and then I’m off for the rest of the year. Speaking of Mr. Fogerty, I got a ton of love in the recent review of the show we did last month in AZ – it’s here, along with a veritable bounty of other favorable ink.

There are a lot of exciting things pending for 2015 (including the new “Mojo Deluxe” CD, which is now finished!) – details are coming in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, the Bob Malone Store has been revamped and you can now buy sheet music of my tunes. There are just a few at the moment, but I’m working on more, ao all you piano players feel free to write with requests for what tunes you’d like to play! Also available at the store is the Mojo EP that we released for my UK tour this summer. There are less than 100 copies left, and this is the only place to get them in the US, so have at it, this will soon be a collector’s item!

See you out there!
Love, Bob
